Limited Purpose FSA

A Limited Purpose FSA (LPFSA) is for health care expenses and allows you to set aside money — tax-free. If you enrolled in the SureSAVER or HealthSAVER plan and elected the LPFSA, you’ll be able to pay for certain dental and vision expenses. If you met your medical deductible, you can use this benefit for medical and prescription expenses as well.

Eligibility

All Regular, U.S. NesCARE benefits-eligible employees (Hourly regularly scheduled to work 30+ hours or Salaried working 20+ hours, as defined in the NesCARE SPD)

Contributions

You can contribute up to $3,300 in pre-tax money to your Limited Purpose FSA in 2025.

You can contribute up to $3,300 in pre-tax money to your Limited Purpose FSA in 2026.

If you don’t use your funds by December 31, your account stays open and up to $660 automatically carries over to the next year unless you term from Nestlé, in which case your funds are forfeited. You forfeit any unspent funds above $660.

Note: You may only change your contribution amount during the next Annual Enrollment period. You don’t have to re-enroll in an FSA/LPFSA for your funds to roll over.

Perks of the Limited Purpose FSA

The Limited Purpose FSA is available to use in full on the first day of the plan year. So, if you know you’re going to have dental or vision expenses, you can pay for them before any of your other account balances have built up. If you also have an HSA, you can use your Limited Purpose FSA for vision and dental expenses and let your HSA continue to grow.

Using the Limited Purpose FSA

You’ll receive an Optum payment card to use for your eligible expenses once you accept the terms and conditions during enrollment.
