SureSAVER Plan

SureSAVER Plan Overview

The SureSAVER Plan is a high-deductible health plan, or HDHP. With this plan, you can choose whether to receive care in- or out-of-network, but the plan will pay more when you use in-network providers. Although this plan has the highest deductible of all the Nestlé medical plans, you will save money each month because it also has the lowest premium. Plus, Nestlé picks up 100% of the bill for both in-network preventive care and eligible preventive prescription drugs.

Since you pay the full cost of non-preventive care until you’ve met your deductible, you can use your HSA dollars to help pay for medical bills. After you’ve reached your deductible, you and Nestlé share the cost for care (coinsurance) until you’ve met your out-of-pocket maximum. Then, Nestlé pays 100% of your costs for the rest of the calendar year.

Free Money from Nestlé

The plan comes with a Health Savings Account (HSA). You elect to open this account during the enrollment process. With this account comes free money from the company! Nestlé will contribute $500 (if you cover only yourself) or $1,000 (if you cover any dependents) to your HSA*. If you are a new hire, this amount is prorated based on your hire date. You can spend this money (and your own contributions) tax-free on eligible expenses now or down the road.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You (and Nestlé) put money into your HSA before taxes.
  2. Your HSA dollars earn interest and grow over time, tax-free!
  3. You don’t pay taxes when you spend HSA dollars on eligible expenses.

*If you are enrolled in Medicare, you are not eligible to contribute to an HSA or receive the Nestlé contribution. HSA contributions are taxed by CA and NJ. HSA earnings are taxed by NH and TN.
